The Schools of Medical Massage operate student massage clinics that are open to the public at several campus locations across Ohio. These clinics give students valuable hands-on experience while allowing community members to enjoy professional relaxation massage services at an affordable price.
Each clinic appointment is performed by a massage therapy student who has completed extensive classroom training and passed practical evaluations before working with clients. Students are supervised on site by licensed massage therapists to help ensure quality care and a safe, professional experience.
A 50-minute relaxation massage is available for just $40, making it an excellent option for anyone looking to relieve stress, reduce muscle tension, or simply enjoy a relaxing wellness experience. Clients who plan to visit regularly can also purchase a four pack of gift certificates for $120.
Appointments are available seven days a week at most locations, though availability may vary by campus.

What to Expect During Your Visit
If you have never visited a student massage clinic before, you may be wondering what the experience is like. The process is very similar to visiting a professional massage clinic.
When you arrive for your first appointment, you will complete a brief medical history form so that the student therapist understands any health considerations that may affect your massage session. After this intake process, you will be guided to a private treatment room where the massage will take place.
The session typically lasts around 50 minutes and focuses on relaxation techniques designed to help ease tension and promote overall wellness. Students follow the professional techniques they have learned during training and work under the supervision of licensed massage therapists who are available during clinic hours.
Clients are not required to bring anything special to their appointment. Simply arrive a few minutes early, relax, and enjoy the experience.
Supervised Student Training
The student clinic plays an important role in massage therapy education. Before students begin working with the public, they must demonstrate their knowledge and skills through practical exams and hands-on training.
Once they begin clinic work, students continue developing their abilities by performing massages in a professional environment while being supervised by licensed massage therapists. This structure allows students to build confidence and real world experience while maintaining a safe and supportive setting for clients.

Scheduling an Appointment
All student clinic appointments must be scheduled by phone. Walk-in appointments are not available, but same day appointments may sometimes be possible depending on availability.
To schedule a massage, simply call the clinic location nearest you. Our staff will help you find an available appointment time that fits your schedule.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24-hour notice so that the time can be made available for another client.
Private Treatment Rooms
Student massage sessions take place in private treatment rooms within the clinic facilities. These rooms provide a comfortable and relaxing environment where clients can unwind while students practice professional massage techniques.
Most clinic locations are connected directly to their school campus, allowing students to move between classroom learning and hands on practice in a professional environment. The Lima clinic is located off site but still operates as part of the School of Medical Massage training program.
